Child Dedication Form

At Redemption Church we are pleased to walk with you through the process of child dedication.

Although child dedication is not specifically commanded in scripture, we do recognize the value in dedication as an act of commitment and worship before God.

Understanding that children are a gift from the Lord, we see child dedication is an act where the parent(s) dedicate themselves before the Lord to do their best to raise their child, in the fear of God and in a way that honours Him. Our passion for each child is that they would: Know Christ (Worship) in Salvation, Grow in Christ (Walk) as they mature, and Serve Christ (Work) with their lives.

It is also an act of the church body where as a church we dedicate ourselves to support and serve the family in raising all of our children, in the Lord.

(Child dedication is not baptism, christening, or does it in any way make the child right before God. It is promises from the parents and the church to God. Because the church is involved in this process, we only dedicate children whose parents actively attend and participate in our church body).
